White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery Unit. The role emphasizes education, evidence-based practice, and compassionate, patient-centered care, with a focus on safety and collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Manager.

The ideal candidate will have Maryland RN license, NCLEX, BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required; minimum 1 year RN experience; 3 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Current Maryland State nursing license
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care and build their knowledge with guidance from senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice while upholding Adventist HealthCare values
• Use equipment correctly, delegate non-nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population and monitor changes in condition
• Mentor students and team members in patient-centered care
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspectives
• Perform literature searches and apply findings to practice
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in evidence-based change practices
