Riverside Healthcare in Kankakee, IL is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our acute care team. You will care for expectant mothers and newborns, monitor fetal and maternal status, support with epidurals, and coordinate care with obstetricians, pediatricians, and nurses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• IL RN license and BLS/ACLS/NPR/EFM certifications or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, or Women's Health.
• BSN preferred; new grads starting 1/1/25 must earn BSN within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care before, during, and after labor, monitoring maternal and fetal status.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and nursing staff to implement care plans.
• Support patients and families with education and emotional support throughout labor and postpartum.
