Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Illinois.

• For pediatric units: PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
• For ICU: ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.
• New grads hired on/after 1/1/25 must obtain BSN within 3 years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in acute care setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by provider.
• Monitor patient status and adjust care plans as needed.
• Coordinate with physicians and healthcare team for treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families considering culture and age.
• Maintain documentation per regulatory standards.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in discharge planning.
• Support a collaborative hospital environment.
