Job summary

Riverside Healthcare in Illinois is seeking a skilled OB/GYN RN to provide comprehensive care for women during pregnancy, labor, postpartum and gynecologic care. You will collaborate with physicians, NPs, and a multidisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes and family-centered care in a dynamic obstetrics unit.

The role requires current IL RN licensure, BLS, NRP (or willingness to obtain within 6 months), and preferably a BSN. New grads must earn a BSN within 3 years.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
• New Graduate RNs starting on or after 1/1/25 must earn Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 3 years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide prenatal education and support with routine assessments.
• Deliver direct nursing care postpartum after labor and childbirth.
• Assist physicians after labor, delivery, and emergent events.
• Administer pain management and medications after delivery.
• Educate on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
