Job summary

Riverside Healthcare in Kankakee, Illinois seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to join our acute care team. The RN will provide high quality, compassionate care, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast paced environment.

Requirements include graduation from an approved school of nursing, current IL RN license, BLS, with PALS for pediatrics and ACLS for ICU within one year of hire; new grads must obtain BSN within three years.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Current Registered Nurse license in Illinois.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
For pediatric unit: PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
For ICU: ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.
New Grad RNs to earn BSN within 3 years of start date.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered by provider.
Monitor vitals, document observations, and adjust care plans as needed.
Coordinate care with physicians and health team; participate in discharge planning.
Educate patients and families with culturally appropriate information.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulations.
