Job summary
Riverside Healthcare in Kankakee, Illinois seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to join our acute care team. The RN will provide high quality, compassionate care, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast paced environment.
Requirements include graduation from an approved school of nursing, current IL RN license, BLS, with PALS for pediatrics and ACLS for ICU within one year of hire; new grads must obtain BSN within three years.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse license in Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- For pediatric unit: PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
- For ICU: ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.
- New Grad RNs to earn BSN within 3 years of start date.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by provider.
- Monitor vitals, document observations, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Coordinate care with physicians and health team; participate in discharge planning.
- Educate patients and families with culturally appropriate information.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulations.
