Job summary

Riverside Healthcare in Kankakee, Illinois, is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN to deliver comprehensive obstetric care in a fast-paced acute care setting. You will monitor mothers and newborns, assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections, provide newborn resuscitation when needed, and support families through the labor and postpartum process.

The role requires IL RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NPR, and EFM certifications (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in the state of IL.
• BLS Certification required.
• ACLS Certification required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
• NPR Certification required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
• EFM Certification required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
• New Graduate RNs starting on or after 1/1/25 must earn BSN within 3 years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to women before, during, and after labor, including monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with epidurals.
