Boston Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery on a per diem schedule. The L&D team emphasizes high-quality care and continuous quality improvement, serving a diverse patient population.

Position: Registered Nurse
Location: Labor & Delivery
Schedule: Per Diem
Deliver exceptional nursing care in the, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
Update and manage patient records
Enter and interpret computerized data/information
Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCHS nursing organization
Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Certification in basic life support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life support(ACLS)
Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification
Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Intermediate or Advance Certification
2 years' experience Labor and Delivery
Experience with electronic health record preferred
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
Basic computer proficiency.
Fluency in another language a plus.
Compensation Range:
$39.80- $93.69
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
