Job description

Registered Nurses in Labor and Delivery provide the highest quality of care to our diverse patient population.

Position: Registered Nurse

Location: Labor & Delivery

Schedule: Per Diem

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
  • Deliver exceptional nursing care in the, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
  • Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
  • Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
  • Update and manage patient records
  • Enter and interpret computerized data/information
  • Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCHS nursing organization
  • Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
  • Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred)
  • Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Certification in basic life support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification
  • Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
  • Intermediate or Advance Certification
EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 years' experience Labor and Delivery Experience with electronic health record preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Fluency in another language a plus.
Compensation Range:

Compensation Range: $39.80- $93.69 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements. In addition, BMCHS offers generous total compensation that includes, but is not limited to, benefits (medical, dental, vision, pharmacy), contract increases, Flexible Spending Accounts, 403(b) savings matches, earned time cash out, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources to support employee and family wellbeing.
