Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Illinois seeks a Labor & Delivery Technician for full-time night shifts to support the RN team and deliver essential patient care. You will help with daily living activities, monitor patients, and assist in maintaining a safe, clean environment for the unit.

Under RN direction, you will reinforce teaching, perform basic care tasks, and communicate changes in status promptly. Prior L&D or surgical tech experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment under RN supervision.
• Provide basic patient care: vital signs, skin care, personal care.
• Collect and label specimens, transport blood and specimens per policy.
• Communicate changes in patient status to the RN promptly.
