Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking a Perinatal Care Technician to join the Labor and Delivery team. The role focuses on supporting the L&D OR, inventorying and maintaining equipment, transporting patients, and assisting in sterile procedures under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting obstetrical teams during cesarean sections and other procedures, ensuring sterile fields, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• State of NH Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) licensure required.
• Minimum of two years of previous health care setting with Labor and Delivery experience.
• High school graduate required.
• Prior knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities in the Labor & Delivery OR environment.
• Prepare sterile instruments for obstetric procedures and ensure sterility and readiness of supplies.
• Assist obstetrical team with verification, time-out, intra-operative support, and case closure protocols.
• Respond to emergencies per unit protocol and maintain a safe patient environment.
• Provide age-specific, individualized care under RN supervision and support psychosocial functioning.
• Assist with patient transfers, measurements, and bedside nursing tasks as directed.
