Experience Level

5+ years of experience in Employment Law, preferably on the management side, handling both litigation and advisory work.

Responsibilities
  • Defend employers in state and federal court on wage & hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims.
  • Handle case strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial prep.
  • Advise clients on employment policies, handbooks, compliance issues, and risk mitigation.
  • Represent clients before the DFEH, EEOC, DLSE, and other administrative agencies.
  • Provide training and guidance to employers on workplace practices and regulatory updates.
  • Draft and negotiate employment agreements, separation agreements, and related contracts.
Qualifications
  • Active California Bar license.
  • Strong Litigation Skills, including motion writing and deposition experience.
  • Proven ability to counsel clients proactively and think like a business partner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with public entities is a plus, but not required.
