Job summary

Jobot partners with a national law firm to hire experienced employment litigators in California and New Jersey. You will lead employment defense matters, supervise attorneys and staff, and advise clients on risk management while developing your practice alongside seasoned litigators.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of employment litigation defense experience.
• Active California bar admission or New Jersey admission (Hackensack).
• Substantial wage-and-hour and employment class action experience.
• Supervision and leadership of attorneys and staff.
• Strong state and federal litigation writing and advocacy.

Our agency is partnering with a national law firm seeking employment litigators at several experience levels. Represent employers in workplace disputes while taking meaningful ownership of cases, working directly with clients, and developing your practice alongside experienced litigators.

Base compensation: California: $200,000–$300,000. Hackensack: $190,000–$300,000.

Work arrangement: Los Angeles and San Francisco: hybrid. Hackensack schedule to be discussed.

What you will do

• Lead employment defense matters through resolution, including wage and hour disputes and single-plaintiff and class or collective actions.
• Supervise attorneys and legal staff, guide litigation strategy, and maintain quality across an active docket.
• Represent employers in state and federal courts and before employment agencies.
• Counsel clients on workplace issues and risk management.
• Support client development and collaborate with other practice groups.

What you bring

• 10+ years of employment litigation defense experience.
• Active California admission for the California offices or New Jersey admission for Hackensack.
• Substantial wage and hour and employment class action experience.
• Demonstrated attorney supervision, leadership, and client management skills.
• Strong state and federal litigation experience, writing, and advocacy.
• Portable business is welcome but is not required.
