Responsibilities

• Litigate employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and FLSA wage and hour claims in state or federal court.
• Handle disputes involving non-competes, non-solicitation, confidentiality, and trade secrets.
• Advise corporate executives and HR leadership directly on risk mitigation and pre-litigation strategy.
• Draft dispositive motions, lead discovery, take/defend depositions, and represent clients in court and arbitrations.
• Appear before EEOC, DOL, OSHA, and state commissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Employment Defense: Litigate employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and FLSA wage and hour claims in state/federal court.
• Restrictive Covenants & IP: Handle disputes involving non-competes, non-solicitation, confidentiality, and trade secrets.
• Strategic Client Counseling: Advise corporate executives and HR leadership directly on risk mitigation and pre-litigation strategy.
• Stand-Up Experience: Draft dispositive motions, lead discovery, take/defend depositions, and represent clients in court and arbitrations (AAA, JAMS, FINRA).
• Agency Representation: Appear before the EEOC, DOL, OSHA, and state commissions.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of dedicated L&E experience in a law firm setting.
• Licensure: Active U.S. state bar license in good standing. Out-of-state candidates must be willing/eligible to obtain NC licensure within 1 year (fully firm-funded).
