TalentBurst is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Concord, NC. Night shift, 12 hours, 3 days/week, 64-hour weeks with base pay and stipends. Requires 2+ years LDRP experience, BLS/ACLS/NRP/EFM, EPIC EMR, and ability to float regionally.

• Support includes monitoring, triage, and resuscitation of newborns.

Clinical Interviewing: Yes

On Call, Call Back Requirements: No call

Weekend Rotation: Every other

Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays

Floating Requirements: Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises

About Facility:

• Licensed for 457 beds
• Level 3 Trauma
• Stroke center of Excellence
• Bariatric center of Excellence
• Chest Pain Center
• Maternal Fetal Medicine Referral Center
• Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Unit Information:

• Beds: 13 labor beds, 5 triage rooms
• Average census of 9-10 patients daily

Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years LDRP

Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• High Risk Antepartum, Labor, Immediate Postpartum
• Active Labor, Triage, Pre-Eclampsia and other Hypertension disorders of pregnancy, other common pregnancy/delivery conditions and complications
• 60-65 deliveries/month

Patient Ratios:

• RN: Laboring: 1:1-2

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

• RN: BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM (Requirements of Resource Team)

Skills required:

• Labor management, circulate cesarean sections, pre-op, PACU, triage, resuscitation of newborns, Pitocin management, epidural management

Support within the Department:

• Secretary M-F 8-5
• Scrub Tech to assist in procedures
• OB Mentor
• Charge nurse, 24/7
• Phlebotomy - In hospital
• IV/VAT Team - In hospital
• RT 24/7
• Hospitalist 24/7
• Intensivist 24/7
• OB Physicians
• Anesthesia/CRNA team
• Telemetry monitoring – bedside and nurses station

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC
• IV Pump: Alaris
• Med dispensing: Omnicell
• Monitors: Client
• Unit specific equipment: Monica Novii, Neptune

Floating:

• Within region and scope of practice
• Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable
• Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises
• If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)

Orientation (facility and unit):

• NEO
• 2 days departmental

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: every other
• No call required for travelers
• Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays - must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
• Shift times: 0645-1930; 1845-0730
• Schedule cycle: every 4 weeks
