Job summary

TalentBurst is hiring a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Lake Charles, LA. Night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 3 days per week, with 1:1 and 1:2 patient ratios on accordance with AWHONN guidelines. Base pay ranges from $1,440 to $1,476 weekly, plus stipends of $1,267 weekly.

Licenses and certifications required include BLS, RN license (state or compact), NRP, ACLS, and an appropriate FHM/EFM certification. This onsite contract starts 10/26/2026; weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• RN license required in state of employment or compact license.
• BLS, NRP and ACLS certifications required to practice.
• AWHONN EFM or NCC EFM certification (or trainer/instructor) preferred.
• L&D experience and willingness to travel for 13-week contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery care per unit standards.
• 1:1 on Pitocin for induction/augmentation; cervical ripening as ordered.
• Support immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment.

Types of patients/cases on the unit: deliveries, circulating c-sections, antepartum patients, attending to newborns in the initial newborn assessment.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• BLS required
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• Current certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) (certification received 1 month after passing test date***)
• Current NRP certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
