Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a seasoned RN with Labor & Delivery expertise for a 13-week travel assignment in Salem, VA. Night shifts are 12 hours, three days per week, with 1:1–2 patient ratios and required OB competencies. Candidates must hold an active RN license and relevant certifications.

The role includes duties from IV access to FHR interpretation, delivery support, and PACU care for obstetric anesthesia. A strong teamwork ethic and adherence to AIDET principles are essential.

Qualifications

• RN with Labor & Delivery experience required.
• Fetal strip interpretation essential.
• Knowledge of OB medications and obstetrical care protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide L&D nursing care during night shifts.
• Assist with epidural placement and C-section circulation as needed.
• Support obstetric procedures and postpartum care.

• Number of Beds: 17 inpatient, 2 triage
• Unit Staffing:
  • Secretary on day shift only
  • No techs
• Type of Equipment:

  • Ambulatory (Telemetry) Monitors
  • Client EFM
• Scheduling Requirements: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
• Floating Policy: MB/Postpartum
• Patient Experience Requirements: AIDET, courtesy, and respect

Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS
• AWHONN Intermediate FM or C-EFM
• NRP
