Job summary

Vestcom, a standalone business unit of Avery Dennison, is seeking a Label Machine Operator. You will operate label machines, monitor equipment, and log raw materials in the ERP system, aiming for zero defects while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years in manufacturing, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Starting rate is $20–$21 per hour with a $500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of related manufacturing or machine operation experience.
• Strong mechanical skills and the ability to analyze equipment performance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of a shift.
• Color vision proficiency to distinguish product variations.

Responsibilities

• Operate label machines efficiently to meet daily production deadlines while minimizing material waste.
• Use your mechanical aptitude to monitor equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and identify root causes rather than "band-aid" fixes.
• Maintain accurate logs of raw materials using our ERP system and ensure a "zero-defect" mindset through close attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and collaborate with the production team to ensure overall site health.
