Job summary

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Lenexa, KS. This full-time role focuses on performing diagnostic tests to support veterinarians and patient care, using automated analyzers, microscopes and other lab tools.

You’ll contribute to a fast-paced team with extensive training and strong benefits from day one. Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent; science-related degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• A 2-, 3- or 4-year degree in a Science-related field is preferred.
• Veterinary Technician (RVT/LVT/CVT) or Medical Laboratory Technician experience would be a plus.
• Ability to set up, run, read lab tests and operate lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Use automated analyzers, microscopes and other laboratory tools to perform analyses supporting veterinary treatment.
• Perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal or biopsy samples received in the lab.
• Set up and run lab tests, read and release results per SOPs.
• Specialize in an assigned department and explore related areas.
