Job summary

IDEXX in Manchester, MO is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform diagnostic tests supporting veterinarian care. You will use automated analyzers, microscopes and other tools to read and release results per SOPs, with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Science-related degree preferred.
• Veterinary/Medical Laboratory Technician experience is a plus.
• Experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests and operating lab equipment.
• Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and have good teamwork and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Use automated analyzers, microscopes and other lab tools to perform analyses and tests diagnosing animal illnesses.
• Perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal or biopsy samples received in the lab daily.
• Set up and run lab tests, read and release results per SOPs.
• Specialize in an assigned department and explore related roles.
