Job summary

Labcorp in Raritan, NJ is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team. The role involves receiving and sorting clinical lab specimens, preparing them for testing, data entry, and maintaining equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

Schedule is Tuesday through Saturday 6:00am–2:30pm. Candidates should have a high school diploma and be comfortable handling biological specimens with strong attention to detail and teamwork. Benefits eligible for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience preferred.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrument maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
