Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, FL is seeking a Lab Technician to support cytopreparatory staining, specimen handling, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing in a high-quality clinical lab. Day shift, full-time schedule, on-site position.

You will ensure safety, accuracy, and customer service excellence while following PPE and infection control policies. Requires phlebotomy skills, high school diploma, and ability to read English; preferred phlebotomy training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; phlebotomy training preferred.
• Excellent customer service and English communication required.
• Able to use computer applications and lab equipment.
• Willingness to learn clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform cytopreparatory staining and prepare surgical cases.
• Receive and set up primary specimen cultures.
• Maintain equipment and inventories; ensure safety.
• Support education of clinical staff and resolve customer issues.
• Collect patient data for accounts, including ID and insurance.
• Perform phlebotomy and blood collection.
• Handle point-of-care testing and quality control.
