Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a dedicated team member for a full-time laboratory support role within our Cytology/Pathology area. You will perform phlebotomy-related tasks, assist with specimen processing, and maintain a clean, organized lab environment.

The ideal candidate has phlebotomy training and strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and patients in a fast-paced setting. Eligible for Florida background screening as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; phlebotomy training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred or in training.

Responsibilities

• Perform cytopreparatory staining and accessions surgical cases with knowledge of anatomy.
• Receive and set up primary specimen cultures and inoculate petri dishes for bacterial growth.
• Clean and disinfect laboratory equipment and spaces, maintain inventory control.
