Job summary

System One is hiring a Lab Technician II in Athens, GA, for a contract, onsite position. The role focuses on preparing vaccine components in an aseptic environment, using virus and cell culture techniques in compliance with USDA regulations.

The candidate should have a BS in Biology (preferred) and experience or familiarity with vaccine manufacturing and aseptic techniques. Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are expected.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Biology preferred but not required.
• Experience with vaccine manufacturing or aseptic techniques preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform activities in preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room using virus and cell culture techniques per USDA regulations.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs during process execution.
• Assist with training and coaching current and new employees on required skills.
• Complete and review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance; maintain technical data and support documentation.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions to address problems; escalate production flow disturbances.
• Demonstrate commitment to EHS programs and initiatives.
• Assess individual performance with regards to continuous improvement (AAI).
• Support site projects and initiatives, including deviation and change control management.

Overview

Global pharma company looking to hire entry level lab technician to join their growing team. BS Degree and prior experience with vaccine manufacturing or aseptic techniques is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform activities associated with the preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment using virus and cell culture techniques according to USDA regulations
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures during process execution
• Assist with training and coaching current and new employees on required skills
• Complete and review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner; maintain technical data and support documentation
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; escale production flow disturbances
• Demonstrate a visible and tangible commitment to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) programs and initiatives
• Assess individual performance with regards to continuous improvement (AAI)
• Support site projects and initiatives, including deviation and change control management

Requirements

• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of clean room and aseptic techniques
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Basic math skills, equipment/automation troubleshooting skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems
• BS Degree in Biology preferred but not required
