Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. has an immediate need for a Lab Tech - I (Assistant) on a 6+ months contract in Millsboro, DE (onsite). Perform aseptic work, media prep, antigen inoculation, harvest, and maintain records while following SOPs and safety standards.

Embryonic eggs are used for virus propagation. Preferred candidates have GMP experience and vaccine knowledge; SAP experience is a plus. Shifts are 4–10 hours, with benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and paid sick leave depending on

Qualifications

• Must have GMP experience in a lab environment.
• Background in vaccines or cell biology is helpful.
• Experience with aseptic/clean room and following SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Perform aseptic work, media preparation, antigen inoculation, and harvest.
• Maintain accurate records in charts, log books, and documentation.
• Communicate any unusual and non-routine occurrences when performing tasks.
• Clean work areas and prepare, clean, and sterilize glassware and equipment for use.
• Set up and operate equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Note: Embryonic eggs are utilized for virus propagation.
• Handle hazardous materials such as Isopropyl Alcohol, Hydrogen peroxide, and Phenolic Disinfectants.

Immediate need for a talented Lab Tech - I (Assistant). This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Millsboro ,DE(Onsite).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform procedures including aseptic work, media preparation, antigen inoculation, and harvest.
• Maintain accurate and reliable record-keeping including charts, log books, and all pertinent documentation.
• Communicate any unusual and/or non-routine occurrences when performing tasks.
• Clean work areas and prepare, clean, and sterilize glassware and equipment for use.
• Set up and operate equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Note: Embryonic eggs are utilized for virus propagation.
• Handle hazardous materials such as Isopropyl Alcohol, Hydrogen peroxide, and Phenolic Disinfectants.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills; Knowledge of vaccines.
• Experience with a shift stretch of 4 - 10 hour days.
• Any lab or scientific background will work; a background in cell biology is particularly helpful.
• GMP experience is needed.
• Experience with cell culturing is very helpful.
• Prior experience with SAP is preferred.
• Experience in an aseptic/clean room environment.
• Familiarity with using pH meters, UniFuge, and following SOPs.
• Effective writing, oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are highly desirable.
