Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to perform routine testing and data entry in a fast-paced environment. The role supports quality systems and regulatory compliance while collaborating with team members to ensure accurate results.

The ideal candidate has a HS Diploma and a related science degree, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work overtime as needed. Training on the eLIMS system will be provided.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or related field.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Follow ISO/IEC 17025/AOAC ALACC requirements and government regulations.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Register incoming samples and maintain accurate records for QC purposes.
• Enter sample data into the eLIMS system timely and accurately.
• Complete laboratory testing and meet sample turnaround targets.
• Verify results and submit to appropriate personnel.
• Identify process issues and report with proposed solutions.
• Maintain readiness to respond to client and coworker queries.
• Communicate effectively with intra- and inter-department teams.
• Promote company image through ethical business practices.
• Strive to improve quality using existing and new technologies.
• Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications.
• Perform duties safely and efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.
