Job summary

SGS SA is seeking a Lab Technician to independently prepare samples for analysis, operate and calibrate prep instruments, and maintain technical data. The role requires adherence to HSE policies and ISO 17025/GLP regulations, with focus on accurate documentation and instrumentation upkeep.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and 1–2 years of relevant analytical chemistry laboratory experience, and must follow SGS's internal standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories preferred.
• Must be compliant with SGS HSE policies and ISO 17025/GLP Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis according to SGS SOPs using department instruments.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance and calibration of prep instruments/equipment.
• Inputs and maintains technical information to support laboratory functions.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook as applicable.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Description

• After appropriate training independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS' analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies
• Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration of prep instruments/equipment
• Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratory functions/operations.
• Maintains Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Must be compliant with SGS HSE policies and adhere to ISO 17025 or GLP Regulations.
• Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of years' relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories (Preferred)
