Job summary

SGS is seeking a laboratory support professional to independently prepare samples for analysis and perform routine operation and calibration of prep instruments. You will maintain documentation and ensure compliance with HSE policies and ISO 17025/GLP regulations, while adhering to internal standards and procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1-2 years of relevant analytical chemistry laboratory experience, making you a strong fit for a hands-on lab environment within SGS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1-2 years of years’ relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis according to SGS SOPs using department-specific instrumentation.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of prep instruments/equipment.
• Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory functions/operations.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Comply with SGS HSE policies and ISO 17025 or GLP regulations.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Description

• After appropriate training independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS’ analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies
• Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration of prep instruments/equipment
• Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratory functions/operations.
• Maintains Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Must be compliant with SGS HSE policies and adhere to ISO 17025 or GLP Regulations.
• Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required.
