• The quality lab technician performs, assists, and coordinates all internal laboratory activities, striving for continuous quality improvements.
• Maintain specification sheet and ensure that material being produced meets those specifications.
• Check information, labeling, and appearance of finished material units.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of data collected during each shift.
• Ensure that all equipment is operating properly.
• Maintain a clean lab area.
• Assist the team with machine operation and other tasks when needed.
• Keep Supervisor/Manager appropriately informed of all problems, issues of concern with product specs.

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

• Lifting is required 1 to 30 lbs. periodically during the shift.
• Must be able to distinguish colors and shade differences.
• Reaching, stooping, and bending is required periodically during the shift.
• Standing and walking is required periodically during the shift.

Experience/Education Requirements:

• Previous experience in a quality-related field and/or textile industry preferred.
• Computer proficiency and data entry skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to walk, stand or sit for long periods.

Other Requirements:

• Overtime is required on occasion.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• Housekeeping must be maintained in lab at all times
• Earplugs and safety glasses must be worn as required.
• All accidents must be reported immediately.
