Pay Range: $59,529-$80,243



Shifts Available and Hours: Day shift


Job Summary:

The Tensile Lab Technician will perform mechanical testing, including tensile, yield, and elongation tests, along with flare tests, following industry standards and customer specifications. This role requires a commitment to integrity in all testing results and documentation.


Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with quality testing and inspection procedures is a plus.

  • Strong math, problem-solving, and computer skills.

  • Ability to understand and comply with lab and company quality and safety documentation.


Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards

  • Skilled in operating test and inspection equipment

  • Capable of operating a band saw and CNC machinery



Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare test specimens according to industry and Hydro standards.

  • Conduct mechanical testing, including tensile, yield, and elongation tests, as well as flare testing, ensuring adherence to testing procedures and compliance.

  • Maintain the highest standards of ethical behavior and compliance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Lab Supervisor and/or Quality Supervisor.
