McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a Lab Technician II at our Technical Innovation Center in Hunt Valley, Maryland to support product development and sensory evaluation.

This role emphasizes independence, lab setup, inventory management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams; you will work with product developers and technicians, prepare samples, maintain sanitation, conduct daily sensory panels, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 12 college credits/CEUs OR 1-2 years lab experience.
• Strong PC skills; Windows environment; data handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist Product Developers & Technicians with lab tasks/duties.
• Compounding seasoning formulas and applying to finished product for tasting.
• Prepare/set up raw materials, finished products and retention samples.
• Manage lab inventory of materials, snack base, and supplies.
• Maintain sanitation and lab organization.
• Sensory evaluation of raw materials and finished seasonings.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Set up samples for daily sensory panel analysis and retention samples.
• Communicate with related departments on projects.
