You will deliver practical sensory guidance to research projects and help develop new and existing products with best-practice sensory methods. The role requires leading project teams, applying descriptive and consumer research, and communicating findings to internal and external clients.

Qualifications

• MS degree in Sensory Science, Food Science, Statistics, Psychology or related field with 3+ years of sensory project work; OR BS with 6+ years of sensory project work.
• Minimum 3 years in major project team leadership capacities.
• Experience applying sensory (descriptive, discrimination) and consumer research (CLT, HUT, focus groups).
• Experience integrating sensory and consumer methods into research plans and drawing conclusions.
• Experience developing, training and maintaining Descriptive Analysis Panels.
• In-depth knowledge of tools supporting sensory testing and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan, collect, analyze, interpret, and report sensory data to guide product development.
• Deliver sensory and consumer guidance to research projects and contribute to new/existing products.
• Develop and implement best-practice sensory methodologies.
• Design and execute studies evaluating product performance and guiding innovation.
• Perform statistical analysis including experimental design and multivariate techniques.
• Provide consultations to internal units and external customers.
• Present findings to customers and cross-functional teams with actionable recommendations.
• Stay current with sensory science literature.
