Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Lab Technician to perform routine testing on donor samples and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards. This fully onsite Knoxville role offers hands-on training and opportunities for career growth.

The position is Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–10:00 PM with a contract-to-hire path. Bachelor’s degree in a related science and up to 2 years of lab experience are preferred; TN licensure/MLT certification accepted. Comp benefits and tuition reimbursement available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant science field.
  • Up to 2 years laboratory experience preferred; new grads ok.
  • MLT/MT certification and TN licensure accepted.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Basic knowledge of lab practices and testing procedures.
  • Comfortable with computers and LIS.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing using manual and automated methods.
  • Interpret and analyze test results against established controls.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory instruments.
  • Complete quality control and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Document testing and maintenance activities accurately.
  • Follow SOPs, cGMP requirements, and all safety regulations.
  • Use laboratory information systems to track and manage samples.
  • Collaborate with team members to support quality and continuous improvement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
