Actalent is seeking an entry-level Laboratory Technician for a contract position based in Exeter, NH. The role involves retrieving samples, performing preparation steps, and ensuring traceability and documentation of analytical results.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED with 0-2 years of lab experience, strong attention to detail, and good communication skills. Onsite work with comprehensive safety and QA procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve samples from Sample Control for testing and analysis.
• Perform sample preparation activities including aliquoting samples, spiking, and tracing samples.
• Prepare reagents and solutions, bottles, and sample concentrations/dilutions.
• Set up liquid racks and review/resolve sample discrepancies for labeling and traceability.
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation including analytical results and bench sheets.
• Clean and maintain laboratory glassware and equipment.
• Stock, organize, and monitor supplies and inventory; support housekeeping and safety procedures.
• Assist with additional laboratory projects and operational tasks as needed.

Description

Retrieve samples from Sample Control for testing and analysis. Perform sample preparation activities including: Aliquoting samples Spiking and tracing samples Preparing reagents and solutions Bottling samples Preparing sample concentrations and dilutions Sample separation and sonication Liquid rack setup Review and resolve sample discrepancies to ensure proper labeling and traceability. Maintain accurate laboratory documentation, including: Analytical results Sample tracking records Bench sheets Laboratory logbooks Clean and maintain laboratory glassware and equipment. Stock, organize, and monitor laboratory supplies and inventory. Support general laboratory housekeeping and maintenance activities. Follow established quality assurance programs, SOPs, and safety procedures. Assist with additional laboratory projects and operational tasks as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
