Job summary

Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Phlebotomist, Lab Support Technician to join our lab team. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen processing, documentation in LIS/EMR, and potential basic testing.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient samples in accordance with laboratory policy, procedures and regulatory standards.
• Document receipt of patient samples in LIS/EMR and prepare samples for testing.
• May perform and report basic laboratory testing as needed.
• Use education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection.
• Communicate effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines and maintain accurate records.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform blood draws and process specimens. The Work
