Job summary

Saint Luke’s East location in Lincoln, Nebraska, is seeking a Phlebotomist, Lab Support Technician to collect patient samples and support the laboratory team. The role includes documentation in LIS and preparing samples for analysis.

Shifts include Monday and Tuesday 6:30am–5:00pm, and Saturday 8:00am–12:00pm. Requires ASCP Phlebotomy Technician certification and less than 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year phlebotomy experience.
• ASCP Phlebotomy Technician certification.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient samples following phlebotomy best practices.
• Documents receipt of samples in LIS and prepares them for analysis.

Job Description Saint Luke’s East location is looking for a Phlebotomist, Lab Support Technician to support our lab team. Job Description Collects patient samples using best practices for phlebotomy. Documents receipt of patient samples in Lab Information System (LIS) and prepares them for analysis.

Shift Details

Monday, Tuesday 6:30am to 5pm; Saturdays 8am to 12pm.

Collects patient specimens in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures and regulatory standards. Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection. Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections.

Job Requirements

Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP) - American Society for Clinical Pathology
