Job summary

Saint Luke’s Mission Farms location is hiring a Phlebotomist, Lab Support Technician to support our lab team. You will collect patient samples, document receipt in LIS, and prepare specimens for analysis.

Shifts include mornings with full-time daytime hours; rotating Saturdays 8am–12pm. Applicants should have <1 year of experience and ASCP phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience required
• Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP) credential preferred

• Shift Details: Monday, Wednesday thru Friday 6:30am to 5pm; or Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 5pm; both with rotating Saturdays 8am to 12pm.
• Collects patient specimens in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures and regulatory standards.
• Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection.
• Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections.
