Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park is seeking a Phlebotomist, Lab Support Technician to join our lab team. The role includes blood draws, specimen processing, and documenting samples in the LIS/EMR.

The position is PRN with primary coverage from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m., involving collaboration with nursing and unit staff to ensure accurate sample collection and reporting of results.

Qualifications

• Per forms blood draws and processes specimens as part of lab support.
• Documents receipt of patient samples in LIS/EMR.
• May perform and report basic laboratory testing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient samples per laboratory policy and standards.
• Documents receipt of patient samples in LIS/EMR; processes and prepares samples for testing.
• May perform and report basic laboratory testing as needed.
• Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff regarding patient collections.
