Job summary

JPS Health Network is seeking a Lab Support Specialist (PRN) to provide clinical operations and technical support in a busy laboratory. You will handle specimen management, assist with phlebotomy and QA/QC, and support inventory and documentation across shifts at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

The ideal candidate is a certified phlebotomist or medical laboratory assistant with at least two years of relevant experience, able to follow HIPAA and safety policies, and capable of delivering

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Phlebotomist (CPT) or Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant (CMLA).
• 2+ years working as a CPT or CMLA.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen management including transport, tracking, storage and disposal.
• Assist with phlebotomy collections and patient identification.
• Support with QA/QC activities and equipment maintenance.
• Transcribe data and assist with reports and documentation.
• Provide customer service and respond to inquiries across shifts.
