Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Phlebotomist (CPT) through ASCP, AMT, or NHA.
• Preferred: 6+ months phlebotomy experience and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

Responsibilities

• Collects specimens by venipuncture and micropuncture on neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, using phlebotomy supplies and techniques appropriate to the patient.
• Performs special collection procedures, such as timed tests, including those requiring oral ingestion of prescribed substances.
• Exhibits courteous, respectful, and professional behavior when interacting with patients, families, and staff.
• Inputs and extracts laboratory information via LIS and HIS computer systems.
• Performs other duties as required and adheres to applicable policies and regulations.
