Qualifications

• Must abide by PHI requirements for patient information.
• Annual training on UH policies and code of conduct is required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen procurement and processing; supports lab functions.
• Organizes tasks to meet department turnaround time standards.
• Performs data entry and lab processes including sterile technique, aliquoting and phlebotomy.
• Processes specimens for laboratory testing.
• Acts as trainer and resource to other Specimen Processor Phlebotomists.
• Requires minimal supervision and solves problems with little or no supervision.
• Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all policies and standards.
