Job summary

Natera, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor for the Signatera Plasma Team in San Carlos, CA. You will lead laboratory staff performing cfDNA extraction, library prep, and NGS workflows to advance MRD assays, while ensuring compliance and data integrity.

You will directly manage daily operations, conduct performance evaluations, and collaborate with oncology RUO peers to optimize sample processing and throughput in a fast-paced clinical pipeline.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a biological science or equivalent.
• 3 to 4 years of related laboratory experience.
• Prior team management experience is highly preferred.
• Must pass a post-offer criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily scheduling of staff performing DNA extractions, library prep, QC, and NGS workflows.
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings for performance evaluations and career development.
• Own daily lab operations by executing sample processing with the team.
• Serve as primary technical contact; guide data interpretation and troubleshooting.
• Execute process development and testing to increase precision and scale.
• Document deviations and drive corrective actions via nonconformance reports.
• Draft and review SOPs and work instructions.
• Maintain precise lab records in Google Sheets, Excel, and LIMS.
• Ensure PHI handling complies with all regulations.
• Work with Oncology RUO peers to eliminate bottlenecks and optimize processing.
• Present data-backed summaries on team activities and milestones.
• Adapt to evolving science; own tasks to move work forward.
