Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital seeks a Lab III Supervisor to manage daily laboratory operations, oversee QA/QC, equipment maintenance, and workflow.

You will supervise frontline staff, schedule work, coach performance, and ensure compliance with department and hospital policies while maintaining high-quality patient test results and service levels.

Evening and night shifts may be included, with opportunities for professional development and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a physical or life science field.
• ASCP or equivalent certification.
• 2–5 years of laboratory supervisory experience.
• BS in a physical or life science field is required.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily lab operations (QA/QC, equipment maintenance, workflow, service levels).
• Supervises staff including scheduling, coaching, and development.
• Develops staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets; responds to business changes.
• Ensures compliance with department and hospital policies.
• Schedules and delegates tasks; performs tasks when necessary.
