Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho, seeks a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform tests that support diagnosis and treatment. You will correlate data, maintain quality control, verify specimen integrity, and report results in accordance with regulatory requirements.

A professional certification or ASCP registry eligible is required and must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• ASCP-certified or registry-eligible and obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs, records and reviews scheduled QC with immediate corrective action when data are outside limits.
• Verifies specimen labeling, integrity and suitability before testing.
• Performs low, medium and high complexity testing per protocols and regulatory requirements; reports results and critical results as required.
• Performs phlebotomy when needed and monitors supply inventory to ensure availability.
