Job summary

Moraine Valley Community College is seeking a student employee for the Lab position at the Main Campus. The role supports general admin tasks, assists students with individualized academic help, and helps with lab prep and equipment maintenance.

Working hours are schedule-based: Fall/Spring up to 20 hours per week; Summer up to 25 hours. The position requires a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and confidentiality in handling campus information.

Times Needed

Mondays 7:00am-12:00pm and 6:00pm to 10:00pm
Wednesdays 7:00am-12:00pm and 6:00pm to 10:00pm

Additional Job Duties/Skills/Requirements

• Shop and Welding Safety knowledge
• Ability to weld with SMAW , GTAW , GMAW . Cutting Skills with OFC , PAC AAC , AAG .
• Good fit up and assembly skills.
• Ability to trouble shoot lab equipment
• Ability to maintain Shears, Torches, Electrode holders for GMAW , GTAW and SMAW ,
• Electric and Electrical skills
