Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Problem Resolution Specimen Technician in Lewisville, TX, Tuesday to Saturday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The role focuses on identifying and solving specimen processing issues, coordinating with processing and technical departments, and ensuring timely testing and reporting.

Ideal candidates have strong written and verbal communication, lab experience, and proficiency in MS Office. Salary starts at $22.57 per hour with potential bonuses based on performance.

Formación

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year in Specimen TechIII or related role for internal candidates.
• Preferred: at least 3 years of lab experience in production environments.
• Experience with specimen processing and terminology preferred.
• Medical background terminology is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as primary contact for resolution of common specimen problems.
• May call clients to obtain resolution of problems.
• Demonstrate competency in Specimen Processing problem-resolution duties.
• Interpret specimen tracking data using available systems and logs.
• Understand compliance policies related to test ordering and reporting.
• Support priority handling of samples with limited stability.
• Retrieve specimens from storage and assess adequacy and requirements.
• Enter TIQs/TNPs correctly.
• Process, document, and review mislabeled/unlabeled specimens.
• Escalate trending problems to management appropriately.
