Job summary

Labcorp in Greenville, NC seeks a Specimen Processor I to join our clinical laboratory team. The role supports specimen preparation, labeling, routing, data entry and shipping, with a focus on accuracy and timely processing.

The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with evenings and rotating weekend shifts, offering an opportunity to grow within a global leader in diagnostics and to contribute to high‑throughput operations while delivering reliable results for patients and healthcare

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Identify and label specimens accurately.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Greenville, NC

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:30pm -12:30am and rotating weekends 2:00pm to 10:00pm

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse

Additional Job Standards

• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Experience with MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized colorblindness test

The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.
