Job summary

Labcorp in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in a fast-paced laboratory environment. You will prepare specimens for analysis, label and route them, and ensure accurate data entry for patient information.

The role emphasizes quality and teamwork, with a Monday–Friday schedule and potential weekend rotation; candidates should be comfortable handling biological specimens and lifting up to 40 lbs, enabling efficient processing in high-volume workflows.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Raleigh, NC

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 2pm - 10:30pm with rotating weekends as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse

The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.
