Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
• Four years of laboratory experience in a high complexity laboratory in designated specialty or subspecialty.
• Must have Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist certification (ASCP or AMT) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Educates and enforces policies for proficiency testing to meet accrediting requirements.
• Oversees staffing plans, performance evaluations, coaching, and payroll timekeeping.
• Directs lab activities to maintain quality, production, and accreditation standards.
• Performs quality control, maintenance, and quality assurance to ensure effective test systems.
• Participates in budgeting and financial actions to meet departmental goals.
• Ensures compliance with CLIA, CAP, TJC, FDA, and AABB through accreditation surveys.
• Provides guidance and training on procedures, troubleshooting, and competency for designated test systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
