Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Lab Support Coordinator to provide critical lab support at a client site in Gaithersburg, MD. You will act as the single point of contact to ensure the smooth running of the laboratory environment and coordinate services for the designated building or location.

The role requires strong communication, coordination with multiple teams, and adherence to safety and GLP/GxP standards. Onsite daytime hours with occasional cross-training and vendor coordination are included in

Qualifications

• Associates Degree with 1+ years? experience in a customer-facing role within a scientific environment OR High School Diploma with 2+ years’ experience in a customer-facing role within a scientific environment
• Proven ability to coordinate lab services and communicate with diverse teams
• Familiarity with GLP/GxP and safety practices is preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact for customer lab staff, coordinating laboratory needs and activities.
• Work with other teams to deliver lab support services seamlessly.
• Oversee stock items in labs and coordinate waste removal and vendor visits as needed.
• Communicate service work requests and provide induction for new staff and visitors.
• Cross-train for coverage across lab support areas and maintain Good Documentation Practice.
