Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Site Services Manager in Gaithersburg, MD to lead site-wide support functions, oversee purchasing, supplier oversight, and spend management for laboratory and site operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years managing purchasing activities, supplier relationships, budgets, and cost management initiatives, including placing, approving, tracking, and managing purchases for operational supplies, laboratory consumables, services, equipment, or facilities-related expenditures.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing diverse teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, including holding vendors accountable for service, delivery, quality, and contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team; set clear goals and foster high performance.
• Oversee site purchasing, supplier coordination, vendor performance, and spend management.
• Oversee site services operations and implement process improvements.
• Manage budgets and report on financial performance; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Partner with stakeholders to obtain quotes and evaluate procurement options.
